Just about ready…

October 3rd, 2007 by seoadmin

…to release Wordpress Q&A!

Today, I finished up some of the key elements in the cheesy protection and registration scheme. Yes. Cheesy.

Tomorrow and Friday, I’ll work through some of the last few bugs Wordpress 2.3 has introduced. Their new database scheme threw a lot of stuff out of whack. Oh well. I’ve also decided I won’t support anything prior to WP 2.3…just doesn’t make sense to have two sets of code floating around.

Saturday, hopefully, I’ll have nailed down the distribution method although I’m leaning toward email distribution.

To be honest, I just don’t want this thing spreading in the wild. It really is an extremely powerful bit of software that’ll grab a ton of content within seconds. Combined with Wordpress’s future dating capabilities, we’ve got a nice auto-updating blog that’ll carry on for months without intervention.

In any case, for that reason alone (the PoOOOwWwWWEEEeEErRRR!), I have to price-limit the software. I’ve still been going back and forth as to how I’ll do this, but I think I’m going to go with the “low-initial-value and increase it with demand” scheme that I spoke about previously.

If anyone has questions, feel free to contact me at [sir+kansieo (at) gmail (dot) com]. Don’t forget, join the mailing list to get the latest updates as well as SEO tactics, code, software, etc!

A little more regarding the Wordpress Q&A Plugin…

September 30th, 2007 by seoadmin

I’m going to start things off in what I hope to be a novel way. Obviously, I’m concerned about this powerful bit of software getting into too many people’s hands and ruining it for the rest of us…so rather than put a hard limit on it, I’m going to limit it by price.

I’ll start the purchase price low and then increase it with each purchase until it’s to a point where it is unappealing…what that amount will be will remain to be seen.

Anyway, still have a bit more to go on the software itself. Working on a licensing scheme to help ward off the newbie freeloaders (nothing will keep out the old ones–they can do what they want).

Automating Wordpress Content

September 28th, 2007 by seoadmin

Got a Wordpress blog but don’t want to manually update it? I am about to release a plugin that will allow for you to generate (AUTOMATICALLY!) content based on Yahoo Answers.

This is a true blackhat plugin. It incorporates Markov string content rewriting (as well as one other method that will remain a surprise for now), pre- and post-dating so you can schedule the posts for long into the future or make it appear that your blog has been around awhile. On top of this, it will automatically generates categories based on the Yahoo! Answer category it’s pulling from. Above all else, it’s relatively fast compared to the amount of content it’s building.

The plugin is 95% finished. I just want to add a bit of polish to the administrative area, and be sure that it runs with the newest release of Wordpress.

I do have a short to-do list for future releases of this software, including the addition of images to posts which will add another realm of realism to your automatic blogs.

I’ll post again shortly regarding this exciting release!
